No  Carts at Foursome Championships

Unfortunately Woodford Golf Club has received so much rain that the decision has been made that there will be no carts allowed on the Monday or Tuesday. The conditions of play will be preferred lie NO CARTS. If you are now unable to play please advise Robert Steele the Tournament Coordinator on 0732067806 or 0418736184 and you will be refunded the nomination fee by mail within the next two weeks.

QVGU State Foursome Championship 2010

The State Foursome Championship for 2010 is to be held at Woodford Golf Club,Woodford on the 15th and 16th March. Nomination forms will be available from your Veteran Club, District or Association Secretary in early January 2010 with nominations closing on the 28th February.

The program for the Championship is as follows;

Sunday 14th March                         Open event visitors welcome

Monday 15th March                        8am to 10am                Registration

                                                       10am onwards             Tee off first round

Tuesday 16th March                        7am onwards               Tee off final round

                                                       12pm to 2pm                Luncheon

                                                       1.30pm                         Presentations

QVGU State Championships 2010

The State Championships for 2010 are to be held at the Rowes Bay Golf Course, Townsville on the  6th and 7th September. Nomination forms will be available from your Veteran, District or Association Secretary in early June 2010 with nominations closing on the 20th August. Nomination forms will also be available for download from this web page in early June.

A single stableford event will be played each day for visiting/accompanying ladies

Veteran Women Golfers' Association of Queensland State Championship 2010

The innaugral State Championship of the VWGA of Qld is to be held at the Rowes Bay Golf Club Townsville on Sunday the 5th September 2010 the day prior to the QVGU State Championships. Nomination forms will be available from Veteran Secretaries in early June 2010 with nominations closing on the 20th August. Nomination forms will also be available for download from this website in early June.

The event will be a stroke event played over 18 holes with presentations to be made at a cocktail party to be held that evening.

A single stableford event will be played at Rowes Bay on the Monday and Tuesday for visiting ladies who are accompanying their male partner to the QVGU State Championships.

National Championships 2010

The AVGU National Championships for 2010 are to be held in NSW on the 8th to 12th November. The Championships will be played on three courses, Port Macquarie, Wauchope and Camden Haven. The program for the event is as follows;

8 Nov                               Medley fourball stableford at the three courses

9th                                    First round championships A Gde Camden Haven, B Gde Port Macquarie C Gde Wauchope

                                         Ladies Single Stableford at each course

10th                                  Rest day

11th                                  Second round championships A Gde Wauchope, B Gde Camden Haven, C Gde Port Macquarie

                                         Ladies Single Stableford at each course

12th                                  Final round championships A Gde Port Macquarir, B Gde Wauchope, C Gde Camden Haven
