About QVGU

The Queensland Veteran Golf Union (QVGU) is the official governing body for veteran golf in Queensland. Established in 1982, we represent over 9,100 members from 21 districts across the state. Our mission is to promote the game of golf among senior players, fostering a spirit of sportsmanship, camaraderie and healthy competition.

Our Mission

To support and encourage veteran golf throughout Queensland by coordinating tournaments, encouraging club participation, and representing our members at both state and national levels.

Who Can Join?

To become a veteran golfer, you must be a male or female who has attained the age of 55 years, is an amateur golfer, and is a financial playing member of a golf club affiliated with Golf Australia. You must also hold a current Golf Australia handicap and be a member of a Veteran Association, Union, or other body affiliated with the Australian Veteran Golf Assoc Inc.Membership can be arranged through your local Veteran District Secretary.

  • Publish regular updates, news, and event coverage
  • Maintain consistent rules and procedures across clubs
